Training
As auditors and security and risk management and network operations and as executive management, the founders of 360 GRC have lived through the pain with perspectives in each role. The goal of creating training courses was not to create a large revenue stream, but rather offer training in the most desired subjects that IT auditors, GRC and security professionals can leverage actionable material immediately upon returning from training.
For years, locating good training was a difficult endeavor. Our team, who needs to maintain CPE credits as well, found it hard to get the training one needs, especially when the classroom time is limited. So the classes offered are based on real-world scenarios, real-world challenges and real-world "solutions" from the people who have designed some of the largest networks in production today.
So the topics are relevant, the content is based on real-world items and the case studies discussed have literally happened to the instructor. This is how we approach training and we want to be known for providing not a PowerPoint slide presentation, but something of value that can be used by almost any organization to reduce its risks, better audit, better secure or better run their companies.
Training Budgets
Reduced budgets and the increased costs of training have strained the ability of many companies to send their staff to the requisite training needed to remain current in an industry that changes daily. Often the training that is affordable is not relevant, or while maybe relevant is introductory or abstract in a fashion that does not translate into actionable material. Training should make us better than we were prior to attendance.
Types of Training
The typical training engagement of 360 is live classroom training as a stand-alone subject often part of a larger course (a week long training session). However, 360 have often performed courses as a single one-day session or in modified format to fit within a shorter window. Listed below are the typical options:
  On-site at a conference:
  Classroom:
Customized: a condensed version of classes can be provided.
  Virtualized through Webex.
When is Training Available?
360 provides training year-round and updates, adds or deletes course topics based on industry demand or internal SME availability. Once a course is booked with an organization, it will not be canceled due to instructor availability. 360 practices what it preaches and uses the same best practices, guidelines, audit plans or other material presented to its attendees.
